Templeton and Partners are on the look for Senior SRE Engineer for our market leading client within the Teleco space.
Contract Duration: 12 months, likely extension
Location: West London - Hybrid (2 days in office)
Contract Type: Inside IR35
What you'll do:
• You will be working on our clients platform in the cloud and on premises, as well as building exciting new Green Field projects.
• You will support both Streaming Engineers, and Developers by providing tooling and guidance, to allow them to deliver.
• Building AWS and GCP Infrastructure as code
• Deploying and supporting Kubernetes clusters
• Working on high performance automation including using Terraform, Ansible and Puppet
• Writing tests to ensure successful builds and state of the platform.
• Simplifying and automating existing manual processes
What you'll bring:
• Strong Linux System administration
• Strong knowledge in AWS and GCP.
• Strong knowledge in Apache Airflow.
• Strong experience with multi CDN providers.
• Version management tooling (particularly GIT)
• Strong experience using infrastructure as code and working with immutable infrastructure and configuration tools such as Terraform, Puppet and Ansible to achieve end-to-end automation.
• Strong experience working with Jenkins CI/CD solutions to enable automation of infrastructure at scale (pipeline design, testing and best practices)
• Networking (TCP/IP, knowledge of routing, firewalls and network security)
• Docker Containerisation
• Experience with Cassandra NoSQL database.
• Container Orchestration using Kubernetes and experience writing K8s Operators
• Strong experience in one programming language: (Golang, Python or Java)
• Excellent troubleshooting skills to resolve challenges along the way.
• Have a proactive attitude towards development and learning.
